Cobra KING Forged TEC is a series of irons for the better player, 0-15 in hcp, and they are now released in their fourth generation. This year, the series comes in two models: TEC and TEC X. TEC is aimed at players who are primarily looking for feel and precision, while TEC X is aimed at those who want a more forgiving club and extra length.
COBRA FORGED TEC ONE-Length has the same shaft length, 37.25", on all clubs. It is a concept developed by Cobra and Bryson DeChambeau so that you can have the same swing and stance with all your irons. The advantages are smoother ball hits and better precision.
FORGED TEC has a hollow construction where both body and face are forged for maximum feel. The hollow construction gives you a more forgiving club as more weight can be placed in the toe, heel and deep into the sole. Many hollow clubs also give extreme length, but here Cobra has slowed down the performance so that you get lengths similar to those of a blade club. Here the hollowness has instead been used to make the club more forgiving. Directly behind the sweetspot is a tungsten weight of 20 grams to maximize feel and ball speed and also provide a nice ball flight. To achieve a nice sound and a soft hit, the cavity is filled with a porous foam. This is a club for those who want a nice tour shape on the head, but at the same time forgiving properties.
